Health and Social Care in Highland provides help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty.An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Support Worker to work within the Caithness Community Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service team, based in Thurso.
This role is to provide person centred care to people who use drugs and alcohol within Caithness under supervision of a Drug and Alcohol Recovery Nurse.
You will be expected to carry out agreed programmes of care as appropriate to support recovery, as well as assertively outreaching people who are identified as at risk of harm.In return for your enthusiasm and commitment we provide a friendly and supportive working environment.A driving licence is essential for this post and applicants should have access to their own vehicle for work purposes although a pool car may be available.This is a fixed term full-time post of 37 hours to March 2026 to be worked in line with service requirementsThis role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a or a NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
