Contract Until Christmas 40 hours per week As a Drivers Mate based at our Southampton Depot, you get to be part of a supportive team and play an active part in challenging the climate crisis.
The job Accompanying the driver on daily rounds throughout our region, delivering fresh cooking oil to restaurants and collecting waste cooking oil to be loaded back onto the lorry Interacting with up to 50 customers a day, providing an effective and helpful service Aiding the driver to locate any new locations that require delivery Filling out round sheets and invoices with quantities and prices Unloading used cooking oil from the vehicles back in the yard Loading vehicles with fresh stock ready for the next day Working as part of a team to ensure the site runs efficiently and effectively We will be looking for: Hardworking people with the desire to progress and gain knowledge Reliable attitude A car or moped driving licence Please note, this role involves early hours, starting between 04:00 and 06:00 am As the role can involve moving and carrying weights in excess of 20kgs, we will provide manual handling training and medical screening to the successful candidate.
