#JoinTeamEliot Main duties of the job To have principal responsibility for the day to day running, receiving and issuing requests of the Trusts volunteer driver service.To have principal responsibility to keep current and maintain the volunteer driver service key documents [schedule, Calendar, Task Log] and inbox.
Ensure that written and verbal communication is accurate and professional.To promote and directly assist in developing the voluntary transport service in line with the voluntary services strategy to support and complement Trust objectives.To oversee the volunteer drivers with regards to training, wellbeing and reimbursement [through the Trust finance department].To act as the main link with other volunteer Transport / Drive organisations including Blood Bikes and Swift Assist.To be a daily point of contact for enquiries, from staff, service users, patients and drivers.To provide statistics, record and report adverse events [example; failed deliveries] to the Voluntary services team to aid monitoring, effectiveness and to review the on-going success of the programme.

Job description Job responsibilities Co-ordinate the day to day running of the voluntary transport service involving complex planning to tight deadlines to ensure that requests are met efficiently.
Use agreed Key documents to record driver availability organise, implement rotas and delivery schedules to ensure the provision of a robust and reliable service.
Be prepared to respond calmly to exceptional situations which may necessitate the immediate re- organisation and re-allocation of drivers rotas and provide reassurance and practical assistance for the volunteer drivers to ensure continuity.
To be responsible for the timely collection of a range of data for the voluntary services manager for official reporting and monitoring purposes.
Including questionnaires and surveys Attend the Weekly Team and Talent Pool meeting, to participate, receive and provide information relating to the driver service, volunteering services and the Trust.
Ensure plans are in place to mitigate any risks associated with volunteer driving scheme for [example extreme weather], raising where necessary to the Voluntary Services Manager.

Person Specification Experience and Knowledge Essential Good experience of using MS Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook Previous experience in an office environment and of office procedures Previous experience of working in a team Previous experience of complex planning to tight deadlines, working with rotas and booking systems Personal experience / awareness of Volunteering Desirable Minimum of one years' experience working in the NHS, or Voluntary Sector - preferably in a customer facing role.
