Role Highlights Full-time, permanent Drama Teacher role within a supportive SEN school that values creative approaches to education, particularly drama's role in developing communication and interpersonal skills Plan and deliver interactive drama lessons designed to promote self-confidence, teamwork, and verbal and non-verbal communication, tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students Collaborate closely with a dedicated SEN team to integrate drama into the curriculum, using a multidisciplinary approach that supports each student's unique learning journey and fosters a safe and inclusive environment Actively participate in school events, performances, and drama workshops, providing students with platforms to showcase their talents and celebrate their progress in a positive setting Experience and Qualifications Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a background in teaching Drama to SEN students, and experience in adapting lesson content to cater to varied learning needs Demonstrated enthusiasm for creative teaching methods, with a deep commitment to helping students develop core life skills through drama Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage SEN students and collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and caregivers Clear, enhanced DBS check required to maintain a secure learning environment This is a fantastic role for a passionate Drama Teacher who believes in the transformative power of the arts to uplift and inspire.
