Role Overview The successful candidate will teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 based on experience.
You will play a key role in fostering creativity, confidence, and collaboration among students, while contributing to the continued development of the Drama department.
Key Responsibilities: Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 teaching).
Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic and creative lessons that engage students.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
Support curriculum development and participate in department initiatives.
Create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that nurtures student well-being.
Contribute to extra-curricular activities and performances, fostering a love for Drama.
Candidate Profile We are looking for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a degree in Drama or a related subject.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Drama, with experience at KS5 being advantageous.
A passion for theatre, performance, and developing student creativity is essential, as is the ability to inspire and motivate learners.
Essential Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related discipline.
Experience teaching Drama at KS3 and KS4 levels.
Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.
Willingness to contribute to the wider life of the school, including performances and events.
