You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way.To find out more about NHS Ayrshire and Arran please visit our website - Position:An opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Supervisor based at University Hospital Ayr.What you will do:You will supervise / audit the provision of efficient and comprehensive cleaning, housekeeping and linen services throughout NHS Ayrshire and Arran in line with NHS Scotland National Cleaning Services Specification to fulfil Healthcare Environment Inspectorate Standards and meet Facilities Monitoring Tool Targets.For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description.Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:As this role is responsible for the allocation of work, daily supervision, training, and welfare of staff, supervisory experience is essential.
Working within the Domestic Services Department you will undertake a variety of housekeeping/cleaning duties.
Experience with industrial cleaning equipment or working within a healthcare setting, especially mental health areas, would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
The ability to work on both your own initiative and as part of a team and good communication skills are essential.The post is physically demanding and you are required to complete scheduled labour intensive tasks, cleaning/housekeeping duties and manual handling and manoeuvring of equipment/machinery/supplies.You should be physically fit, understand the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare environment.For further information on the requirements for the role please click the link below to view the person specification.Hours: 15 Hours per week / 1630-1930 / Monday to Friday
