Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Good general education NVQ level 2 Cleaning and Support Services Desirable criteria Relevant cleaning qualification - BICSc Cleaning Operators Proficiency Certificate Experience Essential criteria Ability to effectively communicate / interact with others (both verbal and written) Understanding of why cleaning is important Desirable criteria Knowledge of the hospital sites Colour coding and prevention of cross infection Previous usage of cleaning equipment Skills Essential criteria Knowledge of domestic cleaning Commitment to ensure good standards of cleanliness are maintained Ability to work as part of a team Ability to adapt to changes in working practice Self starter with ability to follow direction Desirable criteria Previous experience working in clinical environment Ability to use initiative Employer certification / accreditation badges Applicant requirements The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
