Your Role Are you an organized, detail-oriented individual, James Walker Cockermouth are seeking a proactive Document Controller to become an integral part of the quality team.
This is your chance to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of documentation and information across the Cockermouth site.
The role is 35 hours per week Monday to Thursday 08.45am – 5.00pm and make the most of your weekends with an early finish on Fridays, 08.45am – 12.45pm/3.30pm on alternate weeks.
Key Responsibilities Document Management: Maintain and manage all international and customer drawings, standards, and specifications Ensure all documentation, are recorded and maintained in compliance with customer and industry requirements Management of Security/ Distribution/ Destruction of restricted documents.
Ensure documents are stored in the correct locations and are easily retrievable.
Implement and maintain document control processes and procedures.
Document Distribution : Distribute documents to relevant stakeholders as required.
Ensure timely distribution and receipt of documents.
Track and manage document distribution and receipt logs.
Document Review and Approval: Coordinate the review and approval processes for documents.
Ensure documents are reviewed and approved by the appropriate personnel.
Track and manage document review and approval status.
Version Control: Maintain version control of documents.
Ensure that only the latest versions of documents are in circulation.
Archive obsolete versions of documents.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all documents comply with company and project standards.
Maintain compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
Training and Support: Provide training and support to staff on document control processes and systems.
Assist staff with document-related queries and issues.
Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports on document status and activities.
Provide updates to management on document control activities.
System Management: Manage document control systems and software.
Ensure systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
Additional Tasks: Create RMA lines for customer returns working with the Quality Engineers.
Collate monthly KPI figures.
Conduct Internal processes & system audits to ISO 9001 standards.
