Wigan Town Hall Library Street Wigan WN1 1YN Salary: Grade 10, £43,693 - £47,754 per annum.
37 hours per week Your role: This is an exciting role as part of Housing Services within the Council's Places Directorate, which is entering a period of transformational change and development.
In this role you will oversee the delivery of the Council's Housing Maintenance service including day to day repairs and voids works by managing a team of staff.
You will require excellent leadership and motivation skills.
You will work closely with our customers, contractors and various council teams so the ability to build positive relationships with our customers and partners is vital, focusing on delivery of excellent customer care and a commitment to listening and learning from tenant views and feedback.
Our priority is delivering high quality homes and services for our current and future tenants.
About you: You will be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of day to day and void repairs for our 21,000 homes.
You will lead and develop a team to deliver a high standard of repairs and void works in our tenant's homes and communal areas ensuring service delivery is customer focused, consistently of the highest quality and cost effective.
You will embody our Team Wigan culture, behaviours and instil a team culture of getting the basics right first time, to provide good quality homes for our existing and future tenants focusing on delivering excellent customer care.
