Job summary Are you a dispenser looking to progress within a forward-thinking practice Do you have excellent customer care skills and enjoy working in a demanding environment If so, we would like to hear from you Main duties of the job Dispensing Dispensing acute and repeat prescriptions Updating patients records where appropriate Dispensing controlled drugs in line with current regulations Checking colleagues dispensing Ensuring the dispensary area remains clean and tidy Maintaining the cold chain and reporting any concerns to managementPrescriptions Handing out prescriptions and collecting charges where appropriate Processing repeat requests as per surgery protocol Sorting and endorsing prescriptions Generating prescriptions when requiredStock Control Ordering appropriate quantities of goods via the wholesalers' websites Checking in goods as and when delivered Returning incorrect goods to the wholesalers Stocking shelves, fridges and other storage area using rotation method Removing out of date stock from shelves Disposal of returned medicineWholesale Weekly participation in the ordering of items in accordance with our wholesale contract Checking in wholesale goods and storing appropriately Returning incorrect goods, noting missing items to the wholesalersOther Completing annual mandatory & selective training Being up to date with the SOPs of the dispensary Attending dispensary and practice meetings Carrying out audits when required About us Aspiro healthcare is a dynamic and forward thinking Partnership based across Northamptonshire and Derbyshire serving a population of 55,000 patients across 8 sites.We have a rare opportunity for a dispenser to join our team in Bozeat.
We have 3 sites in Northamptonshire including Corby, Wollaston and Bozeat.
All sites are training practices and the entire team shares the educational ethos whilst looking after our medical students, FY2 and GP registrarsIn Northamptonshire we currently offer services to non-registered patients such as vasectomy, enhanced minor surgery, community wax clinic and provide medical support to two private mental health unit and Specialist Care Centre.

This will include (but will not be limited to): Awareness of infection control policies within the workplace Correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Responsible for correct hand hygiene of self Identifying risks and escalating issues where needed Making effective use of training Maintaining work areas in a tidy, clean and safe way, free from hazards.
