Job summary We require full/part-time Dispenser to cover maternity Leave to work in our busy dispensing department at Husbands Bosworth Medical Centre.Candidates must have previous experience and qualifications to work in this role and plus the ability to work as part of a team.
Main duties of the job MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POST:To provide efficientand effective dispensing service to the Pharmacy patients, private patients andtemporary residents.To take responsibilityfor your own work and ensure completion of all tasks ingood time.To assist othercolleagues as required.

Job description Job responsibilities KEY DISPENSING RESPONSIBILITIESTodispense medication as directed.
Tomaintain stock control.
Toorder drugs as required.
Toensure the safe storage of medication and controlled drugs.
Toensure the process of dispensing is timely and accurate.
Maintainthe on-call drug box stock supplies daily.
Ensureproper procedure for the administration of controlled drugs.KEY ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibilityfor checking deliveries and making sure they match the order.Responsiblefor the collection and preparation of prescriptions for submission to PPA on amonthly basis.
Tocollect monies from private patients & paying dispensary with patients re exempt status and ensure all FP10s are processed correctly.
To deal with telephone enquiries and face to face in a professional and friendly closely with dispensing GP lead.KEY TEAM RESPONSIBILITIESTobe flexible and cover holiday and sickness of colleagues.
Tosupport and assist team members.
Bewilling to train staff as necessary.
Ensuregood lines of communication between colleagues.Abilityto work under pressure and to tight timetables.
Liaisewith Practice Manager who oversees Dispensary.KEY MISCELLANEOUS UNDERTAKINGSUnderstand and observe practice protocols and patient confidentiality.
Attend monthly staff meetings.
Takepart in the annual performance appraisal system and undertake such training as is deemednecessary by the practice.
Performother tasks as required by the GPs and Managers which are reasonable and in linewith the principles of this job description.WHOLESALINGTo liaise with keyinternal and external stakeholders as required for the smooth running of thewholesaling business.
To ensure that stock is orderedand dispatched within the necessarytime frames, ensuring that wehold as minimal stock as work with the appropriate people to ensurethat the wholesaling stock rooms are maintained to the correct standard for holding stock.
To adhere to Good Distribution practice and be involved inannual refresher training of wholesaling procedures, SOPs, and theGDP Training Manual.
