Job summary This role sits within the Trust's Family and clinical support division and will overlook the Access to Health team as a Disclosure Manager.

We are seeking a skilled Disclosure Manager to lead our efforts in managing and overseeing all aspects of the disclosure processes within our Organisation.
We are looking for an experienced manger preferably with a relevant data protection or information governance professional qualification with a thorough working knowledge of UK data protection legislation and the Access to Health Records Act.
Main duties of the job You will take the lead in the handling and processing of all employment related SARs, information disclosure requests from police, HM Coroner, and the Courts.
You will provide high quality advice to staff on the handling of SARs and Access to Health Records requests.
You will support, mentor, and manage a team responding to subject access requests for patient information, and Access to Health Records requests.
You must have substantial relevant experience of UK data protection legislation specifically in handling complex SARs and legal disclosures; preferably in a paralegal or similar environment and be able to prioritise fluctuating demands to meet fixed deadlines.
You will need to demonstrate expert understanding of subject access requests and access to health records requests along with operational experience of processing these requests in compliance with legislation and the Information Commissioner's Office best practice guidance on this matter.
You must be able to work independently, be able to train staff and able to embed standard operating procedures and good administrative practices into an ever changing and busy service.
You will have experience of composing professional written correspondence to respond to complex queries and requests.

Person Specification Training & Qualifications Essential Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through any combination of alternative study, employment.
Evidence of formal learning of UK data protection legislation CPD Certificate or equivalent significant experience in a similar role.
