Job role: Disability Teaching Assistant Pay rate: £85 - £95 per day Location: Birmingham    Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an experienced teaching assistant to work at our partnered school in Small Heath, Birmingham.
The position is a physically demanding position, helping children navigate their way around the school grounds due to physical and mental disabilities, The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have ample expereince working with children or adults with physical or mental disabilities.
The partnered schools has their own SEN building in which the ideal candidate would be situated, however to meet the needs of the students you will be required to walk around school grounds for the majority of the school day.
  The ideal candidate: - Holds a level 2 / 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Have atleast 1 years expereince working within schools in the UK (primary, secondary or SEN).
- Be kind and considerate and physically fit due to the nature of the role.
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSE'S.
- Previous experience supporting SEND children on a small group or 1:1 basis.
- Passion for education and supporting pupils in their learning and development.
  The job role: - Supporting the SENCO within the SEN building.
- Communicate effectively with the classroom teachers, pupils, wider staff memmber and parents / careers.
- To uphold the safeguarding principles of the school and Teaching Personnel.
- Always adhere to the schools policies and procedures.
- Physcially helping children navigate their way through the school.
- Supporting the transportation of students to and from their lessons.
  The secondary school are asking for the ideal candidate  All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
This advert is for a temporary position.
In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
