GSL Education are seeking a proactive and empathetic Disability Support Worker to join a welcoming school in Boscombe .
This rewarding role involves working closely with students with disabilities to ensure they have the resources, encouragement and support they need to achieve their educational goals.
About the Role: As a Disability Support Worker , you will play an essential role in helping students with diverse needs access the curriculum and develop skills for independence.
Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff, you will create an inclusive and positive environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Responsibilities of Disability Support Worker: Provide one-to-one and group support tailored to the individual needs of students with disabilities.
Assist students with personal care, mobility and other daily activities as required.
Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere that promotes emotional and social development.
Monitor and document student progress, reporting any concerns to relevant staff.
Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to provide holistic support.
What We're Looking For: Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
A relevant qualification in education, healthcare, or support work is advantageous.
A patient, empathetic and resourceful approach to working with students.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to individual needs.

Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of diverse learners.
