If so, an opportunity has arisen for a DoS (Directory of Services) Co-ordinator in Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board.
The successful candidate will be working within a dynamic team of people working with various NHS Service Providers to meet patient outcomes and assure that patients are directed to the most appropriate service first time.
The team works within the Urgent Care Team to ensure high quality and safe care is provided to our population.
The Directory of Services (DoS) is a central directory which is integrated within NHS Pathways and provides NHS 111 call handlers with real time information about all services available when patients make contact.
Accuracy of the DoS is fundamental to the effectiveness of the NHS 111 Service.
As well as the functional aspects, the system also has the ability to inform commissioning by generating detailed reports on service demand and utilisation.
Interviews will be held on 16th December Main duties of the job We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the DoS Team as a DoS Co-ordinator.
You will be required to support the team and play a central role in the planning of the Directory of Services and engaging with multiple NHS Service Providers.
This role will also include day to day management of the DoS and supporting the team with the DoS management of agreed projects and where indicated gathering information and data, undertaking enquires and producing written reports as and when necessary.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to communicate with others on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.
The DoS team are often required to respond to sudden unexpected demands so the ability to problem solve and work effectively and in collaboration with ICB teams and NHS Service Providers will be very important.
You will need to demonstrate excellent analytical and time management skills as well as the ability to work on your own initiative and organise your own workload with minimal supervision.

Job description Job responsibilities JOB SUMMARY AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Providing high qualitycoordination work to ensure actions of the team are completed and delivered against demanding deadlines and timescales; The post holder is a key member of the team whose overarching focus ison transformational delivery, they will enable, promote and support team to deliver; The post holder will support the day-to-day operational and strategic system management of the Derbyshire Directory of Services (DoS), ensuring that robust governance arrangements are in place; Supporting the operational management of the Derbyshire DoS working with the DoS Lead to ensure it is maintained and updated to accurately reflect commissioned services across Derbyshire; Working to the governance processes across Derbyshire and providing a point of contact for over border Commissioners and Provider; Working with and representing the DoS on workstreams.
Liaising with workstreams to provide high quality support, and ensuring all processes are in place and widely communicated; Communicating information by providing reports from the DoS to support commissioning intelligence on the appropriate use of services; Working with the DOS Lead to further develop the DoS to cover a wider range of services, including other Health and Social Care Services provided by partnerorganisations , Third Sector, Local Authority that are integrated with NHS Pathway developments and local referral protocols to enable direct referrals from the 111 Service; A point of contact to ensure that key stakeholders are informed of the key developments of the DoS and strategic system changes; Informing Commissioning Leads of the developments of the DoS and any key strategic system changes; Undertaking other appropriate delegated duties as required; Working with Clinicians and Service Leads to maintain existing and create new service profiles to reflect new versions within DoS and NHS Pathways; Undertaking service profile updates with provider and/or commissioner requests for change; Participating and supporting the team with the management of projects, gathering information and undertaking enquires as and when is necessary for the head of department, teams and the department; Represent Derbyshire on DoS User Groups and ensure that the local perspective is fully represented; Liaising with relevant Teams so that service changes being undertaken is not in isolation to 111/999 and considered early on and included in the DoS from the outset; Supporting the DoS Lead to continually promote the importance of DoS with other Teams within the ICB, in order to ensure that DoS can be planned in as part of any developments at an early stage; The job description and person specification are an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role.

Person Specification Knowledge, Training and Experience Essential Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area; Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis; Desirable Previously worked in similar position within the public sector; Knowledge and experience of managing the Directory of Services database.
Communication skills Essential Skills for communication on complex information and administrative matters, requiring developed interpersonal and oral/ written communication skills and ensuring this is accurate; Experience of managing databases and inputting data accurately Analytical Essential Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands; Planning Skills Essential Skills for supporting project management.
