As the Director of Portfolio Management , you'll lead the Portfolio Delivery Office and its team of programme managers to ensure seamless delivery of software products across the clients SaaS and on-premise platforms.
Currently there isn't much portfolio prioritisation and thats where you come in !
Your mission will be to streamline delivery coordination, introduce standardised practices, and align portfolio investments with business strategy, all while fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities Establish & Lead the Portfolio Delivery Office Define and implement operating principles, processes, and cultural transformation initiatives.
Tailor industry best practices to fit organisational needs.
Optimise Programme Management Refine programme manager roles and ensure effective collaboration with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and Marketing teams.
Manage programme manager allocation to match demand and priorities.
Drive Delivery Coordination Ensure cross-functional initiatives have clear leadership and dependencies/risks are effectively managed.
Foster alignment between product, go-to-market (GTM), and delivery teams to ensure customer-focused outcomes.
Implement Data-Driven Decision-Making Create a unified approach to work tracking, portfolio delivery, and reporting through tools like Jira.
Link strategic goals to execution through annual, quarterly, and monthly cycles.
Report portfolio delivery progress to executives with a focus on KPIs and business outcomes.
Portfolio Planning & Budget Alignment Oversee workforce allocation and ensure alignment with business goals and budget parameters.
Coordinate annual portfolio planning in collaboration with Sales and Customer Operations.
Foster Operational Excellence Maintain transparency in portfolio delivery information and reporting.
Build a learning culture by harvesting best practices, eliminating bottlenecks, and streamlining processes.
Champion continuous improvement initiatives and foster collaboration across teams.
About You You're a proven leader with deep experience in Agile practices, enterprise software delivery, and portfolio management.
You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to aligning strategy with execution while promoting a high-trust, high-accountability culture.
Your Experience Includes: Leading Agile transformations and managing geographically distributed teams.
Delivering enterprise software products (both SaaS and on-premise).
Managing product investments from decision-making to value realisation.
Developing and implementing Agile scaling models such as LeSS or SAFe.
Budget management and workforce allocation.
Driving alignment through strategic and operational planning cycles.
Strong influencing skills to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
