As a key scientific leader, we are seeking a motivated, organised and hands-on individual to help drive our fast-paced, ambitious company in the field of computationally-driven cardiovascular drug discovery.
? Responsibilities: Manage a multidisciplinary team of scientists to deliver on target discovery, preclinical validation and small molecule drug discovery projects Coordinate with contract research organisations (CROs) to set-up and run experiments Support in driving the short and longer-term scientific vision of the company Support to secure external partnerships with biotech and pharma partners Coordinate internal and external pipeline development programmes Manage a research budget Engage with key stakeholders including advisors, collaborators, investors and board members from time-to-time Attend conferences and events to present scientific findings of the company when required ? Profile Considerations: Managed or closely involved in the pre-clinical discovery and validation of drug targets in cardiovascular disease(s) - Preference in Cardiomyopathies Leadership role in a pharmaceutical and/or biotech company within the field of cardiovascular drug discovery (5 years minimum experience) Managed or closely involved in small molecule drug discovery projects Strong understanding of drug target discovery, in vitro and in vivo validation protocols Strong understanding of how to build a commercially valuable and translatable cardiovascular pipeline Strong management and communication skills Team player ? Desirable: Strong patent track record Strong publication track record MD or Phd in cardiovascular research or a qualified cardiologist Company Description: CardiaTec is a TechBio company employing computational methods to decode the biology behind cardiovascular disease.
