Director Of Operations

The Business We're recruiting on behalf of an award winning and highly successful food manufacturer who have great customer relationships built on producing high quality products and deliver outstanding customer service.
The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director who will define and implement the operational strategy, managing a team of engaged and competent managers, whilst contributing to the overall business strategy.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop the operations team, setting high standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Maintain control of labour and material costs, evaluating performance against targets and seeking improvements.
Ensure the quality of products throughout the operations and supply chain by working closely with the technical function.
Establish a robust engineering strategy with a clear maintenance methodology.
Create a culture of safety first, ensuring a robust health and safety strategy is in place.
Contribute to long-term business objectives and support ongoing initiatives.
The Person The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a senior operations leader within the food manufacturing sector (individuals outside of the sector won't be considered), ideally in a fast-paced environment.
They will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
An entrepreneurial mindset, proactive approach, and high personal resilience are key attributes for success in this role.
