About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Director of Event Operations and Marketing to join our team.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our events and maximising their impact.
Responsibilities: Operational Leadership: Provide strategic oversight of day-to-day operations, ensuring flawless execution of events.
Lead, manage, and mentor on-site event staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Event Budget Management: Take charge of event budgets and expenditures, meeting financial objectives.
Supervise and control general spending for events, maintaining efficient cost practices.
Event Revenue Maximisation: Analyse live attendance data to optimise event revenue through ticket sales.
Lead marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales, leveraging data-driven insights.
Event and Media Campaigns: Lead the creation and execution of innovative event campaigns and major news media initiatives.
Collaborate with the marketing team to devise impactful campaigns resonating with target audiences.
Sponsorship Proposals: Craft persuasive event proposals to secure sponsorships and host partnerships.
Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with sponsorship partners, maximising mutual value.
Sponsorship Management: Maximise ROI for sponsorship partners by skilfully utilising their involvement in events.
Generate pre and post-event sponsorship reports, showcasing partnership impact.
Television Audience Analysis: Analyse television viewership data, presenting insights to sponsorship partners and internal teams.
Utilise data to highlight the value of event sponsorships in reaching a broader audience.
Media and PR Strategy: Drive integration of 9-ball awareness into mainstream media via strategic media and PR initiatives.
Oversee development and execution of media plans, elevating event visibility.
Content Planning: Develop and supervise content plans for events and sports, ensuring coherent and engaging messaging across platforms.
Team Growth and Management: Assume responsibility for team expansion and development, including on-site event staff management.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (5 years) in event management and marketing, demonstrating a strong track record of successful campaigns and revenue generation.
Excellent budget management skills and financial acumen.
Proficiency in data analysis for informed decision-making and optimised strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at building and nurturing partnerships.
Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a talent for identifying growth opportunities.
