We are currently recruiting for a full time Director, Midlands and East on a permanent contract based in any of the Heritage Fund's offices in Midlands and East: Birmingham, Cambridge and Nottingham (Hybrid Working).
The primary purpose of this post is to lead on all aspects of delivering Heritage 2033 across the Midlands and East Area including leading and managing a dispersed team to ensure efficient, coordinated and integrated delivery.
The Director is responsible for stakeholder engagement and ensuring the successful delivery of our strategic initiatives across the Area.
They lead the team responsible for assessing and monitoring a large, varied and complex portfolio of applications and projects in delivery.
This includes overseeing delegated decisions on applications for grant of up to £250,000 and supporting the work of the Area Committee which decides on larger bids as well as undertaking some advocacy work on behalf of the Heritage Fund.
The Director is also involved in aspects of cross-organisational collaboration including working with the Executive Director, Business Delivery and fellow Area and Nation Directors to lead and manage the work of the department.

We have formally adopted a hybrid working approach.
This means that most employees will work from their contracted Heritage Fund office twice a week at minimum.
Time spent on site visits to projects or other meetings based at another Heritage Fund or external office are counted as part of those two days.
The other days in the week employees may work from home.
