International Insurance has the twin remit of driving cost-efficient provision of No Additional Charge (NAC) insurances to Cardmembers and supporting the growth of cross-sold "Fee Insurance" revenue across international markets.
This newly created role will support the acceleration of Fee Insurance revenue growth through supporting the digitization of acquisition, driving better integration into Amex customer marketing ecosystems and maximizing marketing return through channel management and investment optimization.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of International Insurance and collaborate with other members of the central team, international market teams, enterprise partners, and external third parties.
How will you make an impact in this role? Principal Accountabilities:
Define the strategy and collaborate with markets and Enterprise partners to integrate insurance sales and marketing into Amex digital placements and customer marketing treatments.Define, understand, and analyse channel performance data across markets to support investment optimization decisions and drive strategic decision-making.Assess and advise markets on how and where digital tactics can be combined with offline channels (sales/telemarketing) to deliver increased volume and maximise ROI.Own the ongoing development of our central digital sales platform to support market ambition and drive revenue growth.Oversee the ongoing development of cost-efficient external channel capabilities and integration into existing Card marketing channels while enhancing digital tracking and targeting capabilities.Ensure central and market plans demonstrate principles of good governance and a strong control ethos in line with Enterprise requirements.Manage a diverse team of 6 colleagues (hybrid and virtual).Minimum Qualifications: Proven success of driving commercial results in a digital acquisition or performance marketing function.Deep understanding of Amex internal marketing systems and processes including thorough knowledge of Enterprise digital assets.Proven ability to work with markets and internal partners to co-create, size, and prioritize initiatives within the planning framework.Demonstrated strategic thought leadership, synthesizing complex issues into specific plans and actions with linkages to broader business impacts.Experience working in a 'central team' environment supporting multiple markets with diverse needs and objectives.Proven ability to attract, lead, and engage talent, and provide continuous development through feedback and coaching.Track record of building strong relationships and influencing external partners and successfully partnering with internal stakeholders.Top-tier analytical skills and demonstrated success in driving critical business decisions backed by data and insight.Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to distil complex information into impactful messages to drive action.Tenacity and curiosity, with an ability to deal with a diverse set of business issues.Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
