Part time 25 - 30 hours per week Driving licence holders are preferred but not essential About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated part time support worker to provide one-on-one assistance to a young lady with Autism in her own home.
This young lady does not communicate with words so the ideal candidate will have a patient and understanding demeanor, as well as a genuine passion for supporting individuals.
Responsibilities: Provide personalised support to ensure the safety and well-being of the young lady in her home and in the community.
Assist with daily activities such as trampolining, swimming, shopping, arts and crafts, and gardening, tailored to her interests and preferences.
Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages independence and social engagement.
Collaborate effectively with a small team of support workers, maintaining clear communication and consistency in care provision.
Flexibility to work on a rotational basis, including sleep-in shifts as required.
Requirements: Previous experience working with individuals with Autism or similar developmental disabilities preferred, but not essential.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with the young lady and her family.
Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
