Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Lichfield, is currently looking to recruit a Digital Programme Delivery Lead for an initial 18 month contract on a rate of £550-£597/day (Inside IR35).
This role will be based onsite.
Responsibilities: - Manage the end-to-end delivery of digital projects and product enhancements, including delivery into live service support - Build and maintain motivated delivery teams, including third party development resource, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards - Drive the Digital team to work at pace, ensuring the team are working towards delivery commitments - Ensure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on what is most important - Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for the environment - Successful completion of the digital and IT roadmaps - Proactive management of budgets, demonstrating spend in line with forecast - Delivery of reports in line with the reporting requirements of the project and stakeholders - Delivery to plan, within agreed quality and cost tolerances, to required deadlines and in line with business requirements - Quality programmatic artefacts, including proactive maintenance and management of the Risk and Dependency records - Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.
- Ensure project and programme plans are maintained with robust schedule data, underpinned by an accurate cost model - Able to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road mapping - Ensure demand signals for all necessary cross-functional resources are raised to Programme Manager in support of delivery timescales - Ensure effective management of third-party agencies, developers and service providers in ensuring the correct SQEP is onboarded in a timely manner to support delivery timescales Essential Skills: - Recognised Project Management qualification, such as APM PMQ - Proven experience using a range of Agile project management methods and familiarity with a range of Agile toolsets - 5+ years in an equivalent role, with responsibility for digital service enhancements - 10+ years of project management experience - Experience of managing third parties through the full project delivery lifecycle - Experience in managing cross-functional delivery teams including remote/offsite and external resources - Experience in matrix-managing delivery resources - Able to build successful delivery teams and understand team styles and how people work together - Able to maintain, influence and motivate a team - Able to ensure the team is transparent and that the work is understood externally - Able to help teams maintain a focus on delivery whilst being aware of the importance of professional development - Able to navigate and negotiate around obstacles, does not shy away from difficult conversations - Open, consultative and enjoys working with others - Hands on practical approach - Ability to understand the needs and priorities of customers (inside and outside the organisation) and the desire to meet their expectations - Ability to assist team members in reaching full potential through feedback, coaching, development and training Problem Solving and Ownership - Takes ownership of problems and can apply intellectual and creative skills to implementing solutions Improvement, Change and Creativity - Willingness to challenge assumptions and ability to adapt or generate imaginative and innovative ideas If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
