JOB PURPOSEEA AmmA Centre delivers an extensive digital technology training and support programme as set by key stakeholders including EA, NI Screen and Department of Communities.The AmmA Centre deploys hybrid methods, using a combination of in-person or online delivery combined with bespoke online digital resources to support teachers, students and school leaders in creating curriculum-relevant projects that encourages and celebrates innovation and creativity.The scope of EA AmmA Centre includes the provision of diverse technical support and training that conforms to the Learning Leaders Strategy (NI) and aligns with the EA School Improvement vision and the work of the EA Teacher Professional Learning (TPL) service.In order that these services are managed effectively, and that the deliverables are achieved on time and to defined quality standards, as outlined in the DfC / NI Screen funding agreement for AmmA Centre, there is a requirement to appoint a Digital Media Support Officer.The post holder will provide, under the direction of EA AmmA Centre's Senior Principal Officer (2), a range of digital media support services to support the ongoing technical needs of a range of C2k services.
The postholder will assist with the provision of digital media support, and the development and provision of online resources in relation to delivery of teacher professional learning and school-based digital creativity programmes.MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES In conjunction with the AmmA team members – play a lead role in managing, maintaining and upgrading hardware and software used for EA AmmA Centre activities;Assist with the resolution of technical problems and continual improvement of ICT infrastructure for EA AmmA Centre;Assist with digital media support (hardware and/or software) for teachers, schools pupils, EA staff and community groups;Assist the AmmA team in tracking, monitoring, evaluating and reporting evidence to demonstrate the effectiveness of service provision, in adherence with key performance indicators outlined in our funding agreement;Assist the AmmA trainers and external tutors in setting up and making available facilities, and providing technical supervision of specialist production equipment within various training spaces;Assist with graphic design, branding and styling of media content for EA AmmA Centre and various other teams within EA organisation;Provide technical expertise, support and training in relation to digital media for corporate, education and community users of EA AmmA Centre;Adherence to GDPR and information governance policies, as defined by the Education Authority, in producing, collating and sharing online content;Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of the EA AmmA Centre's online presence, including website, social media accounts, mailing lists and content management systems; Contribute to the maintenance and promotion of online presence, including microsites, online video platforms and content management systems, for identified teams and services associated with EA AmmA Centre; Contribute to developing and sharing of digital media resources, including production of video resources using facilities available in AmmA;Work closely with AmmA trainers, School Improvement Professionals and teaching staff to design and deliver training materials and media resources that are relevant to the NI curriculum, appropriate for teaching and learning, and accessible to all users.
Fulfill such other duties consistent with the general role outlined above as may be required by the Senior Principal Officer, or Assistant Principal Officers atAmmA.
