Purpose of Role We are looking for an experienced Digital Marketing/SEO Consultant, ideally someone who has experience in all areas of SEO and can generate great results for our clients.
This role will sit within the XO Division at Remarkable Group, supporting our Digital Marketing Lead and Account Managers with ongoing positive client relationships.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Review current SEO performance and identify technical issues or areas that require improvements to form part of the SEO recovery strategy
To provide technical and content SEO reviews on client and competitor websites to form actionable road maps
Conduct/implement SEO copywriting for onsite optimisation (meta data, H1, basic on page copy changes)
Improving SEO performance of existing client websites by carrying out regular work each month such as running tests, spotting technical issues and improving content
Supporting with site migrations when a client website moves from one CMS or platform to another, refining the SEO go live checklist, ensuring all potential risks are identified and managed
Supporting the client services team in revenue growth and business generation
through SEO insights and research
Acting as a consultant to the website development team on structural decisions from an SEO perspective to allow for a SEO first approach to website builds and migrations
Attending conferences, webinars and events then knowledge sharing of new findings within team and wider agency

To have a passion for technology and specifically SEO and learning new digital marketing techniques Experience Ideally candidates will have experience of :

Improving the SEO performance of multiple websites over a sustained period of time. This could be through increasing organic traffic or rankings.
SEO site auditing against a set checklist of criteria and using a range of tools.
Supporting website migration projects from an SEO perspective(this could be through a digital agency or client side).
In depth use of Google Search Console including Fetch and Render, HTML Suggestions, Crawl Issues etc
Writing SEO friendly content such as meta data and H1s
Management of Robots.txt file to disallow pages or folders from indexing.
Planning and mapping 301 redirects of content from one site to another.
Reviewing and checking site speed and page load times and asking recommendations to improve.
Monitoring and reviewing rankings to spot search terms which are improving or decreasing.
Reviewing website page structure and recommending best use of heading formats (H1, H2 etc), image alt tags and so on.
Understand international SEO management including planning, using and implementing hreflang tags across different market versions of sites (sub folder, sub domain etc.).
Creating content strategies based on improving the websites visibility for key terms.
Using SEO analysis tools (please explain which ones have been used).
Researching and preparing written reports to share with clients.
Experience working on ecommerce, B2B and B2C websites.
Technical Skills Google algorithms and how they can impact SEO.
Best practice in SEO and what techniques to avoid (black hat).
Familiar with HTML code at a basic level.
Google Analytics.
Google Search Console.
Qualifications / Training 3+ years' experience in SEO.
Google Analytics Certification.
