We're looking for online journalists who live and breathe news.
As an all-rounder - you'll be able to write, edit and curate news, with knowledge of SEO and social media.
Key Responsibilities News writing - write news copy for LBC's website and social media channels quickly and accurately Breaking news - break the biggest stories to LBC's online readers Live blogs - post on LBC's live blogs where required Pitching - suggest ideas for stories for LBC's audience Social media - write and curate posts for LBC's social media channels What You'll Love About This Role Think Big : Work on one of the UK's leading news brands Own It : Use your journalism skills to reach a wide audience Keep it Simple : Work quickly and accurately to provide a digital news service Better Together: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders What Success Looks Like In your first few months, you'll have:
Covered multiple stories for LBC's website Pitched ideas, carried out interviews Reacted to breaking news Written live blogs Built partnerships with multiple internal stakeholders in the London and regional newsrooms Contributed towards LBC's digital readership targets What You'll Need Experience of working in a newsroom.
All the skills needed to be an online journalist.
This will require overnight and weekend work.
You'll be working from our London office, in Leicester Square.
