Job summary An full time opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Dietetics Department at The Royal Surrey Hospital as a Dietetic Assistant to support our Gastro and Upper GI dietetic teams.We are looking for somebody with good communication skills who has experience of dealing with the general public and an appreciation for the challenges of managing long term conditions of the digestive tract.
The post holder will support the dietitians with the day-to-day care of both inpatients and outpatients referred to our service.We will require you to be organised, be able to work under pressure, be able to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team.
Being computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential and a priority for this role.
We are also looking for someone who takes a pride in delivering excellent customer services.
Main duties of the job This is a busy varied role, which includes mainly service related patient administration and telephone duties as well as some face-to-face contact with patients.
This role will also be responsible for organising the bookings for patient education sessions.You will join a forward thinking dietetic team that focuses on research and audit in its areas of activity to promote clinical effectiveness in patient care.
