Die Cutting Operative Location: South East England (Dartford Area) Salary: £35,000 (Subject to Experience) Our client, a leading company in the packaging industry, is seeking an experienced Die Cutting Operative to set up, maintain, and run die cutting machines, ensuring smooth production processes and high-quality outputs.
The successful candidate will play a key role in optimising production and troubleshooting any issues to maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: Set up and maintain die cutting machines for each production run.
Inspect finished products for accuracy and conformity to specifications.
Adjust machine settings, including speed, temperature, and pressure, to optimize production quality.
Select and install necessary components such as plates, rollers, and dies based on job requirements.
Monitor production to detect malfunctions and make adjustments as needed.
Ensure all machines and components are kept clean and properly lubricated.
Pack and label finished products for shipment.
Personal Specification: Strong understanding of the die cutting process.
Mechanical aptitude with a hands-on approach to machine operation.
Ability to follow complex instructions and maintain quality standards.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically capable of lifting and bending as part of the role.
Ability to work additional hours if required to meet production deadlines.
Preferred Experience: Quicklock experience.
Salary and Benefits: Salary: £35,000 + (subject to experience).
25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
Monday to Friday schedule, with shifts available: 06:00 – 14:30 and 14:00 – 22:30.
Overtime available.
On-site parking.
