Job summary We are currently expanding our radiology department to support the inclusion of our services to the upcoming opening of the new Essex and Suffolk Elective Orthopaedic Centre, therefore we are seeking experienced Diagnostic Radiographers to join us at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
We are a busy radiography department carrying out a wide range of examinations including ED, Outpatients, In-Patients, Dental, Fluoroscopy (including barium examinations), theatre and ITU / ward portables.
Your base will be Colchester Hospital, which encompasses our new state of the art elective orthopaedic centre and Clacton Community Diagnostic Centre.
You will join a department that supports its staff to pursue academic courses and develop their careers within a supportive and friendly environment.
We are a teaching department and part of this role will be supporting the learning of our students and apprentices.
It is a requirement to undertake a 7 day rostered week, including lates, nights, weekend and bank holidays.

Diagnostic Radiographer Main duties of the job Justify and perform radiographic examinations, provide direct care and a high quality diagnostic imaging service in order to assist in the management of patients referred from clinicians.Adhere to Ionising Radiation Regulations and IR(ME)R to ensure the correct procedure is justified and performed.Undertake continuing professional development (CPD).Work as part of a team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.Prioritise workload depending on the severity of a patient's condition and the direct impact on their management.Liaise with fellow healthcare workers and referring clinicians to provide a high quality imaging service to patients.Maintain accurate patient records by input of accurate information to reflect the service provided and meet professional standards.
