Design Pre-sales Director (Consulting)

Our client a global design studio is currently in search of a Design Pre-sales Director to lead on design strategy and pre-sales activities across their client portfolio.
Working across industry, their clients range from public sector to financial services.
Your goal is to drive sales by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, addressing challenges, crafting compelling proposals, and supporting deal closures.
You'll combine new client acquisition with developing strategic value propositions to fuel growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define and frame client challenges (including C-Level) for projects involving strategy, research, design, prototyping, and implementation.
• Manage the project pipeline to ensure consistent opportunities.
• Lead workshops and pre-sales activities, guiding clients from strategy to solutions.
• Build client partnerships and expand internal and external networks.
• Develop Automotive and Banking offerings in collaboration with experts.
What You Bring:
• Proven success in presales, creating winning proposals, and closing contracts in design consultancy or agency settings.
• You'll ideally have significant experience within Automotive and Banking from a consultancy design perspective.
• Experience securing new clients, leading design programs, and collaborating with sales teams.
• Strong ability to conceptualize, communicate, and translate strategic ideas into action.
• Passion for solving complex challenges and leveraging emerging technologies like AI, AR/VR, and more.
• You're resilient, thrive under pressure, and excel in delivering high-quality outcomes.
With strong presentation skills and industry knowledge, you can influence stakeholders and drive results.
Package details:
• £120,000 base
• Company bonus
