About the Company Our Client is a specialist joinery contractor, offering a one-stop-shop solution for bespoke joinery, undertaking projects from design stage, through to production and installation.

This company has strategically spearheaded both residential and commercial markets, working with an impressive portfolio for repeat clients ranging from the industry's biggest house builders and fit-out contractors within London and Home Counties.

Having acquired a stunning new headquarters and state-of-the-art production facility with all the latest machinery and technology, our client is fully functional in producing mass volume orders as well as complex and complete bespoke high-end joinery.

About the Opportunity Due to huge market demand and company expansion plans, our Client is in the market for a proven Design Manager from a Joinery background, who ideally possesses buildability knowledge that has progressed from the bench.

Responsible for the production and management of design and technical documentation on projects from start to final account.
Managing the design team.
Working alongside the production line.
Working closely with installation teams and the Project Manager.
Client/Architect meetings.
Use specialist computer software to produce plans and technical drawings for a range of products and components (2D and 3D, Solidworks, and Revit).
Ability in BIM modelling would be an advantage but not essential.
Requirements: Just like every business, this contractor looks for a certain type of person.
You'll need a proven 5 years (minimum) experience working as a Design Coordinator/Manager for a rival Joinery Contractor, degree or CIOB qualification.

You'll need to be a team player who can plan, is technically competent, experienced in and knowledgeable in joinery, and capable of executing works to complete projects on time, meeting their client's expectations.
So, all in all, you need to be a specialist who is confident, capable, and committed.
