Design Manager

Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Buildings Design Manager to work for one of our clients based in Plymouth, UK.You will require 'Right to Work' in UK, unfortunately no sponsorship will be available for this role.You will oversee Management of multidisciplinary design elements of the buildings, ensuring designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses.
Provide Technical design guidance and review of the overall design packages including safety functional requirements as defined in the Safety Case.
Provide Technical design guidance and review integration of the designs with other design packages.
Ensure that the design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and effectively contributing to the project's technical planning process.Experience RequiredPrevious experience of high level Technical Management of highly complex building projectsDesign and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality - workshops, storage, offices etc.
It would be beneficial to have experience on high hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals such as X-ray facilities.QualificationsA minimum of a Batchelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering is required.
Preferred Chartered Architect or Engineer, registered with appropriate body.Ideally Nuclear / Defence / Highly regulated.This vacancy is being advertised by Belcan
