Join us as a Design Manager
We'll look to you to lead and inspire our design team whilst driving the quality of the customer experience for our banking-as-a-service platform end clients and their customers, as well as for our operations colleagues. This is an opportunity to gain valuable exposure as you lead relationships with key stakeholders.
What you'll do As a Design Manager, you'll oversee and prioritise design projects across multiple product lines and facilitate design thinking workshops and brainstorming sessions. You'll be managing, coaching, and mentoring a team of designers and user researchers, building advocacy of good UX and design, along with identifying and socialising tools, templates, and techniques that enable the team to become even more efficient and effective.
You'll also be:
Ensuring consistency and quality of design output across the teamIdentifying opportunities to improve our existing digital experiences, focusing on their usefulness, usability, visual design, content, and brandingPresenting design concepts and rationales to senior leadership, stakeholders, and clientsUncovering useful qualitative and quantitative insights to obtain buy-in from teams and stakeholders, making sure opportunities and problems are clearly understoodContributing to the evolution of our design system and UI component libraryThe skills you'll need To succeed in this role, you'll need an expert understanding of human or user-centred design methods, usability, user research, and accessibility. You'll also need strong experience leading design teams in fast-paced, technology-driven environments, preferably in fintech or banking sectors.
You'll have a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centred design processes and the ability to create intuitive, elegant solutions for complex financial products.

The ability to solve problems and understand issues and opportunitiesExcellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsExcellent influencing and storytelling skillsFamiliarity with agile methodologies and the ability to balance user needs with business goals and technical constraints in a Banking-as-a-Service contextA proven track record of mentoring and developing junior designers, with experience managing a team of product designers
