Fantastic client side Design Manager position with a PE Backed companyHighly varied project work within the education sector About Our Client This opportunity is a newly-created role within a high calibre real estate projects team at a PE backed education group. They have an impressive global footprint, an ongoing commitment to deliver best in class school facilities, and an ambitious growth and expansion plan. This role will be highly varied, fast paced, and challenge you to generate high quality yet commercially viable design. The position is based in the London head office with some international travel required, and hybrid working is on offer.
Job Description As the Design Manager you will have responsibilities across:
New project appraisals and feasibility studiesDevelopment and implementation design strategies that align with the organisation's objectivesAppointment and management of external design teams to develop required designsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure design consistency and effectivenessSupport the main contractor procurement process to appoint the best partnerEnsure the timely delivery of design projects within the agreed budgetSupport the delivery team to ensure design quality and brand standards are metImplement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of consultant performance The Successful Applicant A successful Design Manager should have:
An architecture qualification (RIBA, ARB)Proven education sector design experienceA background in working through all RIBA stagesIdeally experience operating in a client-side role and/or main contractor role appointing and managing external consultant teamsExcellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with various stakeholdersKnowledge of the latest trends and advancements in the construction industry What's on Offer A salary range of £60,000 - £70,000 GBP, commensurate with the experience and skills of the successful candidateA comprehensive benefits packageAn opportunity to work in a culturally diverse and vibrant organisation based in LondonA rewarding role contributing to the enhancement of education sites around the world
