Design Manager - High Speed Rail Project Based in Cairo, Egypt PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE REQUIRES RELOCATION TO CAIRO.

Overview Design Manager required to work on an Eur€8billion contract for the delivery of a growing high speed rail network in Egypt.
This represents an opportunity to work on a high-profile high-speed rail project that will have a significant impact on the region's transportation infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design process for all high-speed rail track works, ensuring compliance with European EN standards and local regulations.
Manage a multidisciplinary design team across all engineering trades including rail infrastructure, signalling, and telecommunications.
Coordinate and integrate designs with all project stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, and government entities.
Oversee the development and implementation of design strategies, ensuring they meet project objectives, timelines, and budgets.
Provide technical leadership and expertise in high-speed rail systems, offering solutions and improvements to design challenges.
Ensure all design activities adhere to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Regularly report on design progress, challenges, and milestones to senior management and project partners.
Requirements: A minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in the rail and transportation sector, with at least 5 years in high-speed rail projects.
Proven experience in managing complete turnkey projects, encompassing all aspects of rail infrastructure.
Strong background in high-speed track works design is essential.
Excellent knowledge of European EN standards related to high-speed railways.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and integrate complex design processes among multiple project stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross-disciplinary teams.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field.
A Master's degree or higher is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
