Key Responsibilities : Act as the lead engineer and client liaison for new design/build projects in the offshore oil and gas sector, ensuring adherence to specifications and regulatory standards.
Develop detailed engineering calculations and validate designs using FEA software for topside and subsea structures.
Collaborate with vendors to select components such as pumps, motors, and gearboxes, validating choices with calculations.
Produce 3D concept designs based on client requirements and review fabrication and assembly drawings.
Lead design reviews and generate test procedures and operational manuals for equipment.
Experience/Qualifications : Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Expertise in the design of fabricated structures for offshore/subsea environments, adhering to DNV standards.
Proficient in modelling software (e.g., Solidworks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools (Solidworks or ANSYS).
Familiarity with bolted and welded connection designs and rotating equipment design.
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and experience with ATEX and hazardous area equipment design is a plus.
