About The Role Waldon Telecom is an essential infrastructure services provider to the mobile telecommunication sector in the UK.
We work on behalf of large mobile network operators to acquire, design, and construct mobile telecommunication base stations across the country.

We are looking for a Design Engineer to be part of ourMBNL NTQteam in the UK.This is an exciting opportunity to join our team, so if you are looking to learn, develop and progress within a growing, dynamic company then we would like to hear from you!
What will you be doing?
As the Design Engineer, you will design in accordance with the customer specifications against the requested demand for new build, lift & shift and upgrade activities on telecoms sites on the MBNL NTQ portfolio for BTEE and 3UK.
You will be working within a well-established and successful team environment, with in house CAD, structural and electrical design resources.
The role will be home, and office based with site visits as per project demand.
Whatwill your key responsibilities be?
Supporting project team with client forecasting ensuring deliverables are provided within the service level agreement (SLA).
Attending daily internal progress meetings.
Managing and prioritising incoming workload including programming survey dates, identifying site specific dependencies, and undertaking desktop reviews where required.
Attending site surveys, alongside customer and liaising with third parties to agree design solutions in accordance with client guidance, Health & Safety (H&S) and The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
Completing site audits, consisting of measurements and a detailed log of site arrangement and conditions in accordance with customer guidance, so a proposal can be formed.
Reviewing measurements, details & photographs obtained from site to form a design solution in accordance with the customer requirements.
Instructing proposal to CAD with clear concise instructions, expectation of delivery and supporting data.
Producing general arrangement, detailed design and as-built drawings in line with customer requirements and ensuring necessary dependencies are instructed and completed.
Producing supporting H&S documentation in accordance with CDM.
Completing quality checksand liaising withtheCAD, structural and electrical teams to finalise designs.
Maintaining internal systems and ensuring data is correct.
Attending customer meetings via online calls or offsite meetings when necessary.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
UK Full Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel.
Site experience of surveying rooftops, greenfield and street works sites.
Experience in Telecommunications design-preferably in an MBNL/BTEE/H3G context.
Technical understanding of rigging and electrical schematics and schedules.
Appreciation for buildability in design.
Knowledge of structural best practice in design.
Familiarity with latest ICNIRP compliance guidance.
Energetic and self-motivated.
Team Player.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to prioritise and adapt to change and can work independently as well as in a team environment.
Experience in the production of quality design solutions.
Proficient in the use of MS Office.
Experience in the use of AutoCAD.
Engineering qualification or equivalente.g.
a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering desirable.
