Design Engineer required for a manufacturer of a process engineering company and manufacturer of a wide range of products such as heat exchangers and pipework based in the Elland area.
You would be working as part of the design team helping in the completion of innovative product design solutions to the company in the supply of bespoke industrial process engineering solutions.
The company products and systems are all low-volume and uniquely designed to customer requirements.
Design Engineer Job Overview Working as part of a team creating designs of conceptual mechanical systems and Process & Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) utilising either 2D AutoCAD & 3D AutoCAD Inventor software.
Working with other team members and departments with technically challenging design projects in a time conscious environment.
Working closely with the design manager Working with continuous improvement techniques to optimise designs Assist in the verification of all drawings, revisions and issuing BOMS to support purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing functions.
Ensure design solutions are delivered cost effectively Design Engineer Job Requirements Be competent (and confident) in technical aspects of mechanical design and development of special purpose machinery (ideally gained within a similar industry or environment).
