Design Director Job Description & Responsibilities Reporting to the Managing Director and Chief Design Officer, you will oversee the design process, ensuring alignment with Maris' leading fit-out standards.
Responsibilities will include assessing project design requirements, leading concept design and presentations, and collaborating with the project build team for successful implementation.
Responsible for maintaining high standards, managing team workload, and continuously improving Maris' systems to exceed our client's expectations.

We are seeking a qualified Design Director with a relevant degree, over 5 years of commercial office interiors experience, and a proven ability to manage design and build projects up to £20m.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and strong hand sketching skills are essential.
The ideal candidate should balance creativity with commercial acumen, ensuring projects meet the highest standards while contributing to Maris' commitment to overpromise and overdeliver.

Your main responsibilities will include:
Assessing project design requirements for Maris' fit-out standards.
Demonstrating a deep understanding of the client journey and internal processes.
Attending and contributing to client presentations and client meetings.
Managing space planning, concept design, and presentation schemes following Maris' Design Process.
You will have a relevant degree in Interior Design or Architecture, coupled with over 5 years of industry experience in the corporate office interiors sector.
Demonstrating a proven ability, you will excel in pitching and managing design and build projects, specifically those valued up to £20m.
Your skill set includes a comprehensive working knowledge of all relevant requirements and codes.
Proficiency in utilizing Adobe Creative Suite, along with hands-on experience in AutoCAD and Revit, will be integral to your success.
Additionally, your proficiency in hand sketching will further contribute to your capabilities in this dynamic role.

The company does not have a fixed salary scale and will pay an appropriate and fair salary based on experience and abilities.
