Design Coordinator County Antrim Vickerstock are currently working in partnership with one of our clients based in the County Antrim area with the recruitment of a Design Coordinator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design service on joinery and fit-out contracts, leading an in-house design team, and collaborating with the project management team, production staff, the client's multidisciplinary team, external consultants, specialist subcontractors, and suppliers.
Your new role as a Design Coordinator; Oversee the design development of projects in partnership with the project manager, the client, and the architectural consultant.
Monitor design costs to ensure alignment with project budgets.
Provide expert advice on design-related matters, including building regulations, fire safety, and other compliance requirements.
Ensure the design team delivers accurate and efficient drawings in accordance with the project timeline.
Chair design meetings to facilitate decision-making and resolve issues.
Proactively address and resolve design challenges as they arise.
Maintain comprehensive records, manage the flow of information, and deliver regular progress reports.
What you will need to succeed; Extensive experience in architectural design and/or construction projects, with a proven track record of progressing projects from RIBA Stage 4 onwards for design-and-build contracts.
Strong knowledge of BIM processes and their application in project delivery.
Experience working with tight project timelines and managing design development within time and budget constraints.
