Key Responsibilities as a Design and Technology Teacher: Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons in Design and Technology, with a focus on hands-on learning and creativity.
Teach subjects such as Product Design, Engineering, or Resistant Materials, adapting to the needs of your students.
Inspire students to think critically, solve problems, and explore innovative solutions.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements for the Design and Technology Teacher role: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
Have experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level.
Possess a strong understanding of the DT curriculum, particularly in areas such as Product Design and Engineering.
Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Hold a Child Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
