The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to explore various aspects of design, engineering, and technology.
Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Design and Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Develop schemes of work that align with the national curriculum and cater to the diverse needs of students.
Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and independent thinking.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience within the school.
Stay updated with current trends in design technology education and integrate them into lesson plans.
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Design Technology or a related field.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level is preferred but not essential for newly qualified teachers (NQTs).
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage students effectively.
