Role Overview: This is an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Team Leader (M&E) to assist the Team Leader in managing a multi-trade team at the Stevenage site. The role involves ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, performance metrics, SLAs, and regulatory/statutory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.
The role will focus on maximizing the availability of engineering assets, providing technical support for projects, and assisting with commissioning and handover works. The Deputy Team Leader will also ensure the accuracy of asset information, support spares management, and supervise subcontractors.
Role Duties / Responsibilities / Accountabilities / Deliverables: Assist in leading the team to deliver a comprehensive engineering service at the Stevenage site. Ensure compliance with performance metrics, SLAs, and regulatory/statutory requirements related to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. Maximize the availability of plant and equipment through safe, efficient, planned maintenance and fault resolution. Communicate with users and the engineering department regarding progress, delays, or risks. Provide technical support for projects and assist with commissioning and handover works. Offer solutions to design problems and ensure asset information is accurate and up to date. Participate in the LCAM process and make recommendations for changes to asset management. Raise Business Impact Assessments and Operational Occurrence Reports (OORs) for situations that deviate from expected conditions. Perform engineering tasks related to planned and reactive work activities. Manage spares requirements, order spares, and update stock items as needed. Oversee subcontractors working under your direct control. Be aware of and adhere to the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the company and partners. Candidate Profile: Person Specification: Essential Skills and Experience: Demonstrable technical experience and a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in a related engineering discipline. Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills.
