Job Overview We are delighted to inform you about the fantastic and exciting opportunity that have arisen for a Deputy Team Lead Band 6 to join the South Leicestershire Community Mental Health team within Mental Health Services for Older People.
Please note a full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
We are looking for an experienced professional who is innovative and passionate about mental health.
We welcome applications from Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Occupational Therapists with experience of supporting people with complex mental health needs and their carers within community settings.
We provide holistic and person centred mental health services for people over 65 with functional and organic conditions and for people under 65 with cognitive impairment.
The CMHTs are well-established multi-disciplinary teams, consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses and Health Care Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.
The teams provide face to face assessments and care for service users referred via the Central Access Point, In-patients and Crises Teams.
The key skills required for these roles include the ability to demonstrate excellent on-going assessment, risk assessment and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills.
You will be expected to demonstrate LPT leadership behaviours and ability to support and develop the team in conjunction with the team lead.
Job Description Summary (Main duties and responsibilities) The CMHT is a well-established multi-disciplinary team, consisting of Consultant Psychiatrists, Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers, Occupational Therapists and Psychologists.
We will deliver evidence based interventions/treatments and recovery focused approach.
You would be expected to complete comprehensive holistic assessments including risk assessment and reviews collaboratively with your patients, carers and the wider MDT.
Additionally you would need to manage a case load of patients with complex needs.
The patients may experience both organic and functional mental health conditions.
You will need to demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to high quality care as well as possessing good therapeutic and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will engage in a regular clinical/managerial supervision and annual appraisal and you will lead and participate in the development of staff through their appraisal and clinical supervision.
You would be expected to Deputise in the absence of the Team Lead.
Additionally, you would contribute to care quality performance and clinical activity by providing professional nursing leadership and guidance, clinical advice and management in relation to the key dimensions of health care quality: Patient safety, The effectiveness of all health care interventions, Patient experience, The environment in which care is delivered.
A full driving licence is essential and a car-leasing scheme is in operation.
