Mode Search are supporting a global luxury fashion brand in their search for a Deputy Store Director for one of London's most prestigious department stores.
This brand who are highly respected for its innovative craftsmanship, which is ingrained in its collections ranging from men's and women's ready-to-wear, accessories, and exquisite leather goods is currently one of the top performing brands globally and due to this success, they can offer strong growth and progression opportunity for successful candidates.
The successful candidate will report to the Store Director and manage a team of 60 including Sales Associates and Department Managers to aid in team development, scheduling, sales and operational effectiveness, and training.
This role requires extensive luxury clientelling and is the perfect opportunity for the next step within the luxury retail sector.
The Role Leading and motivating a team of sales assistants to achieve excellent standards of service; Identifying future talents and putting together development plans to support their progression; Responsible for achieving budget goals (given turnovers, KPI, and salary budgets); Staff recruiting together with HR and Retail Director; Support with the rollout of in-store PR & marketing events.
Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issues Prepare detailed reports on buying trends, customer needs, and profit margins, and present these reports to company leadership Conduct annual personnel performance appraisals, providing clear and actionable feedback and delivering constructive criticism to help staff improve Monitor inventory levels and order new items as needed Source, hire, train, and oversee new staff, leading by example and ensuring efficiency in the training process Requirements Fluent in English is required, and additional languages is advantageous.
Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury retail management Results-oriented and have the ability to demonstrate initiative.
