About the Job We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic leader to join our team as Deputy Programme Director (Clinical) working within the Professional Doctorate Clinical Psychology Department at the UEL Campus, Stratford. NHS Agenda for Change equivalent 8C (entry point £80,025 pro rata) working 0.5 FTE Permanent 21.6 hours per week.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Joint Programme Directors (Clinical & Academic) to shape the strategic vision and direction of our programme. You will also serve as the Lead for the Clinical Tutor Team, ensuring high standards of education and support.
The Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at the University of East London is characterised by understanding psychological problems in a social and cultural context and facilitating the ability to critically reflect on our practices as professionals. The programme was established in 1975 and partners with the other North Thames Courses for clinical placements.
About You We are looking for candidates who have prior experience with:
Leadership & Collaboration: Provide compassionate leadership and work collaboratively with the Joint Programme Directors to develop and implement the programme's strategic vision.Clinical Skills Development: Oversee the components of the programme focused on the development and assessment of clinical skills.Admissions: Lead the admissions process in partnership with the Deputy Programme Director (Academic).Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise effectively with training commissioners, senior clinicians, and service leads across the North Thames Region, as well as our partner institutions (UCL, UEL, RHUL) to enhance placement provision.Qualifications & Experience: A qualification in Clinical Psychology and substantial experience in the field.Registration with the HCPC to practice as a Clinical Psychologist.Previous senior management experience within the NHS and/or contributions to Clinical Psychology training programmes are essential.A proven ability to support the expansion of our current course offerings.Join us in making a meaningful impact on the future of clinical psychology training.
