Full time HoveRole overviewDeputy Manufacturing Manager - Rotating shiftINTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLYWe are looking to promote internally to fill the job vacancy of Deputy Manufacturing Manager who will be supporting the Shift Supervisor, ensuring the production schedule is achieved in absence of the Supervisor, whilst ensuring the health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.The focus of the role also includes continuous improvement of GMP compliance, processes, equipment, best work practices and systems.In the absence of the Shift Supervisor the role is also responsible for:Motivating and developing individuals and work teams.Training and developing individuals in a standard best practice to ensure all staff are trained the same way every timeDelivering accurate reports for shift handover and maintaining other paperwork that the shift supervisor is responsible forAbout YouQualifications, knowledge, skills & experience requiredGood general standard of education, specifically in English language and mathsExperience in a supervisory roll, ideally in a manufacturing and pharmaceutical industryDemonstrated knowledge of GMP and H&S requirementsIT literate with competence in basic suite of Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong leadership skills – positive, punctual and professional in approachActively involved in ensuring continuous improvement in the workplace, including CI tools such as 5S, Standard work and a Visual Factory are in place and that the departments CI culture continues to evolveAble to use own initiative, work unsupervised and set action prioritiesGood interpersonal and communication skillsPlanning, leading, organising and controlling skills with the ability to delegate and a good eye for detailSystematic problem-solving skillsDeveloping staff through continuous training, development reviews, and appraisals.Maintaining staff performance and morale through regular meetings and adopting a culture of continuous improvement, in line with Custom Pharma Services Company Policy of being an Investor in People.Maintaining good housekeeping, GMP and a safe working environment.Responsibility for compliance with company-controlled drugs procedures
