The Deputy Manager is an integral part of the running of a busy residential home.
This includes being an active part of all aspects of delivering the care to the people we support each day.
The successful candidate will be required to develop an in depth knowledge of the complex care routines and activities for the people who live at Rawlyn House.
This is achieved by working closely with each person who lives in the home and alongside the existing staff team.
This involves a flexible working pattern to include evenings, weekend and on call.
You will support the Home Manager: To ensure person centered care plans are established, renewed, maintained and implemented for all Residents.
To plan the daily and weekly management of the home and to support the management team in implementing their duties and responsibilities.
To ensure that Resident's needs are fully met within the Company's Equal Opportunities policy.
To work with other professional colleagues to ensure the Residents best interests are identified and plans established to meet them.
To work alongside the Care Director and Support Manager to ensure Cream Care values and ethos are embedded in the day to day running of the home as well as supporting the team to achieve these goals.
To work with the Quality and Assurance Manager to ensure all required Standards are met.
When audited and inspected, identify correct actions, and ensure that these are dealt with and closed out within the time frame set by the Quality and Assurance Manager.
To work alongside the training and development manager to ensure all staff training is up to date To manage and prepare all staff rotas.
To undertake all staff supervisions and appraisals in accordance with the requisite of the CQC.
To carry out assessment of prospective Residents.
To write assessment reports on Resident needs resulting from visits.
To match the Home resources to Resident needs.
To be involved with and adjudicate in staff disciplinary procedures.
To liaise with the CQC and comply where appropriate with such requirements.
Qualifications and experience At least NVQ Level 3 with the desire to work towards a Level 5
Experience in support adult with severe or profound learning disabilities and complex health needs
Experience in leading a team
