The role involves assisting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding for children and young people.
The Deputy Manager will play a key leadership role, contributing to the home's smooth running, regulatory compliance, and fostering a safe, nurturing environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Supervision: The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide leadership, ensuring that the team delivers high-quality care and adheres to best practices.
Supporting staff in their ongoing development will be a key part of the role.
Care Planning: The successful candidate will help develop and manage personalised care plans, collaborating with external agencies like social workers, educators, and healthcare professionals to ensure the children's holistic care needs are met.
Safeguarding and Compliance: The Deputy Manager will ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed and that the home meets all Ofsted requirements and relevant legislation.

Candidate Requirements: Proven experience in a leadership role within children's residential care or a similar setting.
A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (Level 5 preferred or willingness to work towards it).
Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
