Position: Deputy Manager - Care Compensation: £15.36 per hour, plus a 10% bonus based on SMART objectives, paid quarterly Hours: Full-time Location: Mansfield About the Role The Deputy Manager - Care position provides a dedicated professional the opportunity to work closely with the Home Manager to maintain high standards of resident care and team support.
This role focuses on resident wellbeing, medication management and staff development, ensuring a compassionate, effective care environment.
Benefits Our client prioritises team engagement and wellbeing, offering: Competitive Salary : Positioned within the top quartile of market rates Annual Pay Increase : Performance-based raises of up to 8%, plus any cost of living adjustments Quarterly Bonus : 10% bonus based on SMART objectives Holiday Allowance : 28 days, including Bank Holidays Pension Contribution : 3% contribution to NEST Pension Scheme Recognition Rewards : Points redeemable for vouchers or cash for positive contributions, attendance, and training Funded Training : Support for relevant qualifications, with bonuses up to £500 upon completion Referral Incentive : Up to £1,000 for successful referrals Low-Cost Meals : Subsidized meals at £1 per course during shifts Short Notice Shift Incentives DBS Check : Provided at no cost Uniforms Provided Key Competencies Strong leadership and team-building skills Proficiency in medication management Commitment to high standards of resident care Effective time management and flexibility with hours Strong written and verbal communication abilities Resilience under pressure and adaptability Desire to advance professionally Primary Responsibilities As Deputy Manager - Care, the role includes: Supporting the Home Manager in delivering high-quality, person-centred care Overseeing care plans, ensuring compliance with company policy and monthly evaluations Ensuring team competency in medication management, conducting weekly audits, and maintaining accurate medication handling and records Facilitating staff development and motivation to enhance team well-being and performance Essential Qualifications and Experience Relevant professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ Level 3) Minimum of three years' experience in a residential or nursing home setting, including at least one year working with individuals living with dementia Knowledge of person-centred care planning and safeguarding protocols Satisfactory Care Character Assessment Ability to commute within 30 minutes of the location Preferred Skills and Experience Two years of experience in a similar management role within a nursing home Experience in dementia care and supervising team members NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care or above Experience as a Senior in Health or Social Care About the Organisation Their mission is to provide excellent resident care by supporting and developing its team.
